GLOVERSVILLE-City police said a local man faces charges related to providing alcoholic beverages to minors at a party on Monday.
Joseph J. Peugh, 22, of 401 S. Main St., was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, both misdemeanors.
Police said they were notified of a party occurring at 41 Saratoga Blvd., the home of 16-year-old Devyn A. Clute.
Police said upon investigation, officers found cans of beer and several 40-ounce bottle of beer, along with seven underage drinkers. Officers also learned Peugh provided the beer to the teenagers, police said.
Police said city residents Clute, Michael P. Priolo, 17; Alexandria M. Blanchard, 16; Tyrrell Q. and James T. Robinson-Glass, 17 and 18, respectively; Nakeya D. Avery, 17 and Alexander Lopez, 18, were at the party. All were charged with one count of possession of an alcoholic beverage by a person younger than 21. Police said Clute also was charged with violating the social host law.
All were issued appearance tickets for City Court to be arraigned before Judge John N. Clo.
