JOHNSTOWN - A 15-year-old Gloversville youth was charged by Fulton County sheriff's deputies Wednesday with 13 felonies related to burglaries and arson at a town residence last spring.
Deputies said the juvenile - whose name was not released due to his age - was charged after a four-month investigation into the May arson. He was charged with these felonies: one count of third-degree arson; two counts of second-degree burglary; five counts of third-degree burglary; four counts of fourth-degree burglary; and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
Deputies said numerous burglaries and larcenies occurred at the residence and attached garage on several occasions prior to the suspect intentionally setting the house on fire in an attempt to conceal his crimes.
The youth was released to the custody of his attorney pending further action in county Family Court.
