H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Lady Bills get past B-P

BROADALBIN - Annie Stock finished with 26 kills, 14 service points and 10 digs to power Johnstown to a 3-1 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council volleyball match Wednesday.

After losing the first game by a 25-22 margin, the Lady Bills won the next three by scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-14.

Zara Hyde posted 22 assists, six kills and six digs for Johnstown (1-0 overall, 1-0 Foothills), while Jerica Holland had 18 assists, 11 service points, nine digs and six kills.

Elizabeth Hayward added 16 digs and six kills for the Lady Bills.

Maddie Gurga had seven assists, four aces, four kills and three blocks for B-P (0-1 overall, 0-1 Foothills), which won the Broadalbin-Perth Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Patriots defeated Gloversville in the finals.

Caitlin Rasefske had four assists, four digs and two kills for the Lady Patriots, while Chelsea LeBlanc had four kills, three blocks and two digs.

Gloversville 3, Scotia-Glenville 0

GLOVERSVLLE - Jenna Putnam had 17 assists, seven aces and five kills to lead Gloversville to a sweep of Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council match.

The Huskies won by scores of 25-18, 25-12 and 25-7.

Christina Pavlovsky had 15 assists for Gloversville (1-0 overall, 1-0 Foothills), while Katlyn Pierce had eight kills and four blocks. Alex Bielli posted nine kills for the Huskies.

Non-league

Mayfield 3, Amsterdam 0

AMSTERDAM - Karissa Morey had 11 service points, four assists and two kills to lead Mayfield to a sweep of Amsterdam.

The Lady Panthers won by scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-10.

Nicole Little had 11 service points and six kills for Mayfield (1-0 overall), while Miranda Eagan had six assists and six service points. Kaylee Bumpus posted three blocks for the Lady Panthers.
