CANAJOHARIE - The Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library has issued a call for entries for its annual juried art show, according to a news release.
The deadline for submissions is noon Oct. 12, and the show will be on view from Dec. 7 through Jan. 25.
Any artist with ties to New York state can enter. While entries can be in any media, there are size limitations: Two-dimensional works must be no larger than 30 inches by 40 inches; three-dimensional works must fit within a 20-inch circumference.
An artist can submit an unlimited number of entries for $15 per piece. Museum members may enter works for $13 per piece, the news release said.
The submissions for the juried show will be evaluated by Rachel Seligman, associate curator at the Tang Museum at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.
Seligman will choose about 40 works for inclusion in the show.
Cash prizes of $100 each will be awarded in three categories: painting, graphics and mixed media/sculpture.
She also will select one work as Best of Show, which includes a $250 cash prize and a show in one of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library's community galleries.
