FONDA - There were 177 children who participated in the summer reading program and read 2,514 books this summer at the Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., according to a news release.
The eight-week program, Dream big Read, ended Aug. 15 with an awards party featuring Jackie the magician. Children who were unable to attend the awards party can stop by the library for their certificates and awards, the release said.
