GLOVERSVILLE - A local man faces a theft charge after city police say he didn't pay a $6 cab fare for about a 400-foot ride from one bar to another.
Adam T. Jones, 37, of 132 Grand St., was charged by city police at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday with theft of services, a misdemeanor.
Police said Jones rode in a cab from The Caboose, on West Fulton Street, to Dave's Sports Bar, located on West Street.
Jones was reportedly told upon arrival at Dave's Sports Bar the cab fare would cost $6, police said, but he told the Express Taxi driver he didn't have any cash and couldn't pay the fare.
He was processed and held pending arraignment.
