Robert L. Kenyon of Avon Park, Fla., (formerly of Johnstown, N.Y.) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring, Fla. Robert was born in Gloversville, N.Y. on June 29, 1928, the son of Clyde and Bertha Kenyon. He was employed in the leather industry for many years and was an accomplished musician playing in country music bands for most of his life. On September 23, 1950, he married the former Eunice LaDue and enjoyed 61 years of marriage, with the last 22 years residing in Avon Park, Fla. He is survived by his loving wife, Eunice Kenyon of Avon Park, Fla.; and his daughter, Sharon Autilio and her husband, Mark of Gloversville, N.Y. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Bayes, Donna Frederick, Evelyn Brooks, and Jacqueline Sena, all of Gloversville; and his brother, Calvin Kenyon of Davenport, Fla. and Glenville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Lucille Richardson, Doris Pecorino, Clyde Kenyon Jr., George Kenyon and Raymond Kenyon. Mr. Kenyon was cremated by The Neptune Society and according to his wishes no viewing or services were held. "Bob" will always be remembered as a wonderful cook, loving husband and father with a kind and giving heart and a great smile.
