GLOVERSVILLE - A city man is facing a felony charge after allegedly choking a person who had an order of protection against him.
John E. Eschler III, 24, of 11 Carpenter St., Apartment 5, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a misdemeanor, city police said.
Eschler was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Sunday after he violated a City Court order of protection by choking the protected person at 11:42 p.m. Saturday, police said. Eschler was held for arraignment in front of City Court Judge John Clo.
