Lacy Rae Carpenter, the daughter of Ken and Laurie Carpenter of Ephratah, was united in marriage to Jonathon Matthew Miller, the son of Shelly Miller and the late Nate Miller of Johnstown, at 2 p.m. July 7.
The ceremony took place in Ephratah at the home of the bride's parents near the family pond. Northampton Town Justice Jack Farquhar officiated.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
The maid of honor was Melissa Carpenter of Ephratah, sister of the bride. The bridal attendants were Polly Saltsman of St. Johnsville and Rachael Hill of Caroga Lake. The flower girl was Sarah Horan.
The best man was Nathan Miller of Caroga Lake, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were Chris Henry of Ephratah and Kasey Carpenter of Ephratah, brother of the bride. The ringbearer was Jonathon James "J.J." Miller of Oppenheim, son of the bride and bridegroom.
A reception for 200 guests took place at the home of the bride's parents.
A wedding trip took place at Darien Lake, Niagara Falls, and a on chartered fishing trip. The couple resides in Oppenheim.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Johnstown High School. She is employed by Community Health Center, Johnstown.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Johnstown High School. He is employed by King Road Material, Schenectady.
