Alberta W. "Gram" Wilbur, 93, a former resident of Wells, N.Y., passed away on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Woodbury, Vt.
Born in Gloversville, N.Y. on October 13, 1918, she was the daughter of Marcello and Christie Scribner Whitman. Mrs. Wilbur graduated from Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing in 1939 as a Registered Nurse, where she was employed until her retirement in 1981.
Alberta was a member of the Wells United Methodist Church, Wells, N.Y.
She was married to Richard Wilbur, who passed away on February 25, 1981.
Survivors included her two sons, Richard (Ernie) Wilbur Jr. of Woodbury, Vt., and Charles (Elizabeth) Wilbur of Duxbury, Vt.; one daughter, Karen Severridt (Robert) of Duxbury, Vt. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Friends may call on the family Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Northville Funeral Home, where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Wells Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Wells United Methodist Church.
