JOHNSTOWN - Four young suspects were charged by Fulton County sheriff's deputies July 27 after an investigation of spring burglaries and an arson at a Route 309 residence, sheriff's officials said.
The sheriff department on Tuesday issued a release indicating the burglaries and arson were at a single residence located at 1001 Route 309 on May 18.
Sheriff Thomas Lorey couldn't be reached this morning for more details on what was stolen in the burglaries and the arson.
Deputies said the following were charged:
Arthur G. McCloskey III, 16, of 32 Addison St., Gloversville - second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted arson, all felonies; fourth-degree conspiracy and petit larceny, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Austin J. Ricciardi, 16, of 142 West State St., Gloversville - second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted arson, all felonies; fourth-degree conspiracy and petit larceny, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Jonathan R. Sweet, 18, of 18 N. Market St., Johnstown - third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies. He was arraigned in Town Court and released on $5,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.
Cody C. Pettit, 20, of 196 Willie Road, town of Johnstown - third-degree burglary, a felony, and criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Town Court and released on $5,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.
