Court appearance for man adjourned

The Leader Herald

MAYFIELD - The scheduled Town Court appearance Tuesday afternoon involving the drinking and driving case of a town man, whose wife's dead body was found June 4, was adjourned until a later date.

Gloversville attorney Robert Abdella did not appear in Town Court on Tuesday on behalf of his client, Brent S. Alling Sr., 42, of 127 Delaney Road. The lawyer had another court matter out of the area. No return court date was set.

Alling, free on bail, was charged June 5 by state police with driving while intoxicated, a license-restriction violation, unsafe turn/failure to signal, a seatbelt violation and refusal to take a breath test.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Department today continues to investigate what happened to Alling's wife - 54-year-old Kathryn Jackson Alling - whose naked, bruised and dead body was found the morning of June 4 on remote Tyrrell Road.

Authorities are awaiting autopsy findings by Dr. Michael Sikirica.
