Marjorie H. Jackson, 91, formerly of Bloomindale Avenue, Gloversville, passed away at Nathan Littauer Hospital Tuesday, August 14, 2012, following a long illness. She was born in the town of Edinburg on February 7, 1921, the daughter of Elwin and Gertrude Edwards Marcellus. She was a glove worker and homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of the area.
Her husband, Robert M. Jackson, passed away on March 21, 1991. She is survived by five sons Robert Jackson Jr. (Mary) of Caroga Lake, William Jackson of Gloversville, Thomas Jackson (Deborah) of Mayfield, Raymond Jackson (Lori) of Gloversville, and Richard Jackson Jr. (Candy) of Meco; and four daughters, Marlene Bornt (John) of Gloversville, Sandy Hamel of Gloversville, Sharon Gray of Mayfield, Darla Allen (Rick) of Meco. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Richard, and a daughter, Katherine.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, New York.
