GLOVERSVILLE - A fire shortly before 9 p.m. Monday filled an apartment building with smoke, yet no residents or firefighters were injured, a news release said.
Firefighters were called to 85 North St. and found residents of the three-story, six-apartment residence sitting outside.
The downstairs apartment suffered heavy smoke damage. Upon entering that apartment, the release said, smoke was encountered but no flames were visible. The cause of the fire is not known.
