JOHNSTOWN - A New York City man was sentenced Monday in Fulton County Court to one year in the county jail in a drug possession case.
Rolando A. Grullon, 38, of Manhattan was sentenced by Judge Richard C. Giardino.
Grullon was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped Dec. 16 on North Comrie Avenue by city police. Grullon was charged with two counts - one of them a felony - of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police at the time said co-defendant Craig M. Ambrosino, 41, of 302 Parkwood Ave., was driving the vehicle at 12:10 a.m., which was pulled over by officers after he failed to keep right. Police said Ambrosino was in possession of crack cocaine, and an investigation determined his license had been suspended and he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Gloversville City Court.
Ambrosino was charged with failure to keep right, criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. His case is pending.
