SCHENECTADY-Republican and Conservative candidate Tom Quackenbush will open his campaign headquarters Saturday in his bid for the 111th Assembly District seat.

Quackenbush, who now is supervisor of the Montgomery County town of Minden, is running against Angelo Santabarbara of the Working Families Party.

Quackenbush's headquarters will be at 2627 Broadway in Schenectady. He will host a rally Saturday at 8 a.m. at the old K-Mart Plaza, near 1400 Curry Road in Rotterdam.

"This is our first major event to introduce myself and to let the community know what this campaign is all about," Quackenbush said in a news release.

The new 111th Assembly district will encompass all of Montgomery County, portions of the city of Schenectady and the towns of Berne, Knox, Rotterdam, Princetown and Duanesburg.
