FLORIDA-One of the two teens accused in the murder of two Amsterdam teenagers will appear in Town Court at 7 p.m. Sept. 18.
The court appearance for Anthony Brasmiester, 16, will allow defense attorneys and prosecutors to present new information.
Montgomery County District Attorney James "Jed" Conboy said he would not be presenting any new information as of yet.
Brasmiester and Matthew Phelps, 15, are each charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
According to police reports, Brasmiester and Phelps somehow lured Paul Damphier, 16, and Jonathan DeJesus, 13, on July 9 into a field near Snooks' Corners Road in the town. Police said both Damphier and DeJesus were shot in the chest and left there. Police discovered the bodies 10 days later, arresting Phelps and Brasmiester soon afterward.
Brasmiester's representative, attorney Jeffery Francisco, could not be reached for comment.
Phelps does not have a hearing scheduled as of yet.
Robert Abdella, Phelps' attorney, also was unavailable for comment.
