Samantha Person, the daughter of James and Priscilla Person of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Dayton Blanc, the son of Douglas and Sally Blanc of Gloversville, on May 19, 2012.

The ceremony took place at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Peter Ellis officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maids of honor were Andrea Snell and Jazmyn Gage, both of Gloversville. The bridal attendants were Elizabeth Person of Gloversville, sister of the bride; Sarah Person and Sarah Blacutt, both of Johnstown, and Amanda Pawloski of Fonda. The flower girl was Emma Belle Person, niece of the bride.

The best man was Adam Blanc of Gloversville. The ushers were James Person, brother of the bride, and Doug Blanc, brother of the bridegroom, both of Johnstown, and John and Graham Blanc, both of Gloversville, brothers of the bridegroom. The ringbearer was Steven Blanc, nephew of the groom.

A reception for 125 guests took place at the Perthshire.

A wedding trip took place in Hawaii. The couple lives in Broadalbin.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Gloversville High School and a 2010 graduate of Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at the Saratoga Hospital.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Christian Heritage Academy and a 2011 graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He is attending Albany State University and is employed at Stewart's.
