Films to be shown at event Sunday

FONDA - Several films produced by local youths will be screened at Kaleidoscope 2012 on Sunday at the Fonda Fairgrounds.

The films, made during the recent Cornell Cooperative Extension in Fulton and Montgomery Counties' youth super-8 film workshop series, ill be featured in the Kane Entertainment Building between 1:15 and 2 p.m.

The films include:

"A part, Mais Jamais Seul (Apart, But Never Alone)", by Kelsey Liz Habla of Fonda.

"Sophomore", by Dayna Peck of Gloversville.

"Second Thoughts" Group Film: Creating Youth Leaders through Film Workshop; youth scene directors: Marissa Nellis of St. Johnsville, and Habla; Editor: Omonike Akinyemi, course instructor.

Documentary on Ghost Signs of Fonda, by Melanie Gessinger of Fonda.

"Empasant" or "Passing"

Directed by Akinyemi and Sherry Beckman (1997).

Kaleidoscope 2012 is the 17th Annual Summer Art and Music Festival organized by the Friends of the Visual and Performing Arts.
