Amanda May Whistle, the daughter of Rosemary and Gary Whistle of Binghamton, Broome County, was united in marriage to Michael James Metzger, the son of Joan and James Metzger of Levittown, Nassau County, at 2:30 p.m. June 30.
The ceremony took place at St. John's-St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Canajoharie.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Crystal Whistle, of Binghamton, sister of the bride. The bridal attendants were Marilyn Metzger of Levittown, sister of the bridegroom, and Stacy Tchorzynski of Lansing, Mich.
The best man was Anthony Miranda of Levittown. The ushers were Charles Pope and T.G. Branfalt Jr., both of Albany.
A reception for 80 guests took place in the Great Hall of The Arkell Museum, Canajoharie.
The couple traveled to Atlantic City, N.J., for their honeymoon after the wedding.
The couple resides in Fulton County.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Susquehanna Valley Central School in Broome County, and she is a 2008 graduate of the University at Albany, where she studied journalism and geology. She is a news editor at The Leader-Herald.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Holy Trinity High School, Nassau County, and he is a 2007 graduate of the University at Albany, where he studied business. He works as an insurance agent for Liberty Mutual in Clifton Park, Saratoga County.
