Police make second arrest in city Little League theft

GLOVERSVILLE - Police have arrested the second suspect in the July 7 break-in of the Gloversville Little League's concession stand.

Nathan Wood, 17, last known address of 16 Montgomery St., was taken into custody by city police and detectives on Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., police said in a news release.

Wood was located by officers at the Trail Station Park in Gloversville. He originally gave a false name, date of birth and address, to attempt to avoid arrest, police said.

It was determined that he was in fact Wood, and he was taken into custody without further incident, police said.

He was arraigned by Judge John Clo and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, according to a news release.

His charges are as follows: third-degree burglary, a felony; petit larceny, a misdemeanor; and false personation, a misdemeanor.

The latter charge was added after providing a false name, date of birth and address to officers.

His co-defendant, Trey Vaughn, 19, was arrested on July 19 at 7 Poole Ave. in Gloversville.

The police would like to thank everyone in the community who provided assistance, leads and tips throughout the course of the investigation, according to a news release.
