Victoria A. "Tori" Laska Barksdale, age 42, of Gloversville, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at her Aunt Marion Snell's home, in Caroga Lake, after a long illness.
Born on October 20, 1969, in the town of Johnstown.
Tori worked as a clerk/cashier for Stewart's Shops on South Main Street in Gloversville until she was unable to work due to her illness.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Barksdale, whom she married on July 1, 2012; one daughter, Ashley Barksdale of Gloversville; one brother, Joseph Laska and his wife, Jessica of Broadalbin; one sister, Tiffany Sweet and her fiance, Patrick O'Conner III of Canajoharie; her father, Chester Laska; and two stepmothers, Patricia Laska and Karen Passino; three stepsisters, Jamie Tomlinson; Toni Jean (Anthony) Wessell, and Kimberly Tomlinson; nieces and nephews, Joseph, Christopher and Susan Laska, Cassandra O'Conner, Daniel Tomlinson and Payton Wessell.
She was predeceased by her mother, Sandra Orsell Laska; grandparents, Victor and Marion Orsell, Chester and Irene Laska Sr.
The family would like to thank Marion Snell, Jessica Laska, Jim and Sally Gurga with the care that was given to Tori during her illness and they also would like to thank Hospice for their wonderful care as well.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown.
