Hail-Mary pass dooms Colonials

ONEONTA - For the second time in as many seasons, the Glove Cities Colonials lost to the Oneonta City Stallions on a hail mary pass in the game's closing seconds in a 33-32 loss Saturday.

"It was like deja vu all over again," Colonials general manager Matt Capano said.

Frankie Cintron led the Colonials, going 18-for-26 for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed for a score. Tymear Mallory had 174 yards on 20 carries.

Jason Quinn hauled in 7 passes for 100 yards and Lennard Byrd had seven catches for 126 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown. Hasan Welch had four catchers for 27 yards and a touchdown.

Brandon Insognia made five tackles and Jacob Hobbs had four. Cintron and Jason Quinn each had an interception. Marcus Pearson had three tackles.

The Colonials only had 17 players suited up for the game

Glove Cities (4-2) will host the Watertown Revolution next Saturday.
