YMCA tournament details announced

JOHNSTOWN - The 2012 Annual Fulton County YMCA Golf Tournament will take place July 30 at 1 p.m. at Hales Mills Country Club.

The tournament is a four-person scramble that starts at 1 p.m. sharp, rain or shine. The entry fee will be $100 per person and includes lunch (starting at noon), dinner, refreshments and prizes.

The top three foursomes receive prizes, and an additional winner will come from a blind draw.

Those who can't find a foursome may contact the YMCA, which will try to place them on a team. Registration forms are available at the YMCA or online at www.fultoncountyymca.org. The registration deadline with payment will be Monday.

Tournament sponsorships also are still available.

The $1,500 hospitality sponsor receives recognition on print and marketing materials, media attention, and display at the tournament hospitality area and includes complimentary golf entry for two people.

The $1,000 prize sponsor receives recognition on print and marketing materials, media attention and display at the tournament prize table area and includes complimentary golf entry for one person. The $500 foursome and hole sponsor receives recognition on print materials, display at the tournament and a foursome. The $100 hole sponsor receives recognition on print materials and display at the tournament.

The tax-deductible donation will help provide financial assistance to individuals for YMCA memberships and programs.

The YMCA has given out more than $100,000 in program and membership assistance to the community over the past two years.

All of the proceeds from this event directly help youth, teens, adults and families in need from its local area. Fulton County YMCA raises funds annually for its Strong Kids Campaign through its golf tournament, dinner dance and telethon. The YMCA strives to turn no person away for their inability to pay the full cost of YMCA services.
