JOHNSTOWN - A Gloversville motorist early Saturday morning led authorities on a chase from Johnstown to Broadalbin and almost hit a state police vehicle before being charged with 19 vehicle and traffic infractions, including aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Johnstown police reported the arrest of Jeffrey T. Tillman, 28, of 132 Grand St., at 2:12 a.m. Saturday on Route 29.
Police said Tillman was charged with 19 infractions, including DWI, aggravated DWI - driving with an 0.18 percent or greater blood-alcohol content and resisting arrest. The other infractions weren't released by police.
Police said Tillman failed to stop for a flashing red light at Main and Perry streets, and failed to comply with officers attempting to pull him over.
Police said he took off and during the chase his vehicle almost struck a state police vehicle in Broadalbin. He then stopped his vehicle and ran from the scene before being caught, police said.
The suspect was held for arraignment in City Court.
