Family searching for two teenagers

July 17, 2012

AMSTERDAM-City police said they are treating the disappearance of two city teenagers as a case of the two running away from home.

Johnathan DeJesus, 13, and Paul Damphier, 16, went missing July 9 and have yet to be found.

Amsterdam City Police Detective Lieutenant Kurt Conroy said no foul-play is suspected at this point.

According to Bridget Masesie and Sandra Damphier, the boy's parents, they have been searching with friends and family.

"I've searched all of Amsterdam and Gloversville," Masesie said.

"It's been a wild goose chase," Damphier said, refering to all the leads they have heard.

Conroy said there is a possibility the two are in Schenectady.
