Wayne Weiderman Sr., 64, of Cross Plains, Texas, died on July 6, 2012, in Abilene, Texas, of complications related to a stroke. He is survived by his father, Lester Weiderman; mother, Evelyn Stearns; brother, Warren Weiderman; sisters, Loretta Post, Claudia Weiderman and Pam Moniz, all of New York; sister, Sandye Vaugh of California; his children, Wayne Weiderman Jr. of Washington; and daughters, Toni Hoyle and April of New York. He had 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and was preceded in death by his son, Rodney.
After spending his childhood in Fulton County, New York, as an adult he moved around the country and spent many years in farming and trucking before working as a tax advisor. He had a free and entrepreneurial spirit and lived independently for over 30 years after a prior stroke stole much of his mobility. Wayne had a strong resolve and was devoted to organizing just about everything in his life. His outgoing and friendly nature created a large network of friends in Cross Plains, where he lived for 18 years. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
