FONDA-The Montgomery County Committee on Education and Government has sent a resolution to the county Board of Supervisors to vote on establishing a public hearing for the Montgomery County Charter Commission.
The resolution would establish an open hearing Aug. 14 about whether or not the county would switch to a Charter form of government, which would have nine legislative districts across the county.
The resolution will be voted on during the board's meeting July 31. The hearing, if allowed, would be held Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. in the supervisor's chambers, at the Montgomery County Office Building.
