Sheriff seeks details on mailbox vandals

July 10, 2012
The Leader Herald

BROADALBIN - The Fulton County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on more than a dozen cases of vandalism that occurred July 4 in part of the town.

Sheriff Thomas Lorey said Monday the vandalism involved people playing so-called "mailbox baseball" - driving by mailboxes and smashing them with bats. He said no arrests had been made yet.

"It was all the same people in the same general area," Lorey said.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 736-2100. Calls will be confidential.
