Mr. John E. Glynn Jr., 51, of Gloversville, passed away July 6, 2012, at Mountain Valley Hospice House. Born April 3, 1961, in Gloversville, the son of John E. and Frances Wickware Glynn Sr. He was educated in Johnstown schools and a lifelong musician, most recently playing bass with the local band Midnight Sky.
An avid bicyclist, John built and repaired numerous cycles and could often be found riding around the city. He was a Green Bay Packers football fan and also enjoyed NASCAR as well as building model cars.
In addition to his parents, of Gloversville, John is survived by his wife, Lorelei Stearns Glynn of Gloversville, whom he married May 26, 2001. He is also survived by a daughter, Starr Williams of Johnstown; a son, Max Glynn; stepdaughters, Jessica Glover and Jamie Starin; a stepson, John LaMont, all of Gloversville. Additional survivors include his brothers, Jack Glynn of Kentucky, Jim and Jeffery Glynn; and sisters, Louise Glynn and Linda Glynn, all of Gloversville; twelve grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 9, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street. Burial will be private.
