James E. Miller, 57, of Schenectady, N.Y., passed away on June 29, 2012, at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, N.Y. He was born July 7, 1954, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of Donald E. and Jeannette Stearns Miller. He graduated from Fonda-Fultonville High School and for 30 years owned and operated the Clinton St. Pub in Schenectady. He was the former owner of Just Jimmy's Diner and dealt in antiques. Mr. Miller was a former member of the First Methodist Church of Johnstown and a former member of the Johnstown Moose Lodge No. 1185. Mr. Miller is survived by his parents and three sisters, Judith L. Murphy of Charleston, S.C., Sandra J. Miller of Johnstown, N.Y., Susan Madia of Schenectady, N.Y.; and two brothers, George P. Miller of St. Johnsville, N.Y. and Gary D. Miller of Johnstown, N.Y. He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Miller in 1991. There will be no visiting hours. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of James' life from 1 to 4 p.m. on July 8, at the Johnstown Moose Lodge. Arrangements are by the Ehle Funeral Home. Cremation took place at Vale Crematory, Schenectady, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
