Brian and Debra Phillips of Johnstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Phillips, to Nicholas Monk, the son of Stephen and Darlene Monk of Fonda.
Phillips is a 2004 graduate of Johnstown High School and received a bachelor's degree in social work from the University at Albany. She is a family development specialist at the Commission on Economic Opportunity in Troy, Rensselaer County.
Monk is a 2005 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville High School. He is a technician at Global Foundries in Malta, Saratoga County.
