Mark Sheldon Hojohn, age 56, of Johnstown passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012, in a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Hojohn was born October 17, 1955, in Amsterdam, and is survived by his father Robert and step mother Barbara Hojohn of Johnstown, his sons Todd Hojohn of Indiana and Scott Hojohn of Johnstown, and daughter Amanda Ellis of Florida. He was predeceased by the late Jean Hojohn of Amsterdam.
Mr. Hojohn is also survived by his sister Susan Shaver, two brothers, Mike and Rodney Hojohn, and step brother and step sister Robert Barrington and Rebecca Edwards, in addition to several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was self-employed for many years as a general contractor and salesman. Mark loved taking rides on his motorcycle, being a sponsor to many substance abuse addicts and spending time with his children and eight grandchildren; Josiah, Nolan, Jeremiah, Hannah, Seth, Elisabeth, Landen and Abigail.
Friends and family may call on Monday, July 2. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. and a service to follow at 6 p.m. at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Albany, NY 12211.
