The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE-More than 400 city residents were left without power for a couple of hours Friday evening.

Virginia Limmiatis, a media relations representative for National Grid, said a tree fell onto power lines around 6 p.m., taking down wires and leaving some East Fulton Street, Pine Street, East Boulevard and Spruce Street residents without power.

About 420 residents were left without power before the lines were repaired and turned back on around 8:30 p.m.
