GLOVERSVILLE - Police said a 32-year-old city resident was arrested after he threatened another person with a handgun when he stepped out of a car near 23 Eagle St.
Deira K. Rogers, of 14 Littauer Place, was arrested by police at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, as was Sean A. Adams, 29, of 24 Monroe St., Schenectady, after police began searching for the car and the people in it described by witnesses.
A car matching the description was located in the parking lot of Stewart's on South Main Street, police said. Police said officers searched the vehicle and found the handgun. Rogers and Adams were taken to the police station for questioning.
Police said Rogers and Adams were arrested based on the results of the search of the car and the cooperation of the driver, who was not part of the initial incident.
During the investigation, police said officers learned Adams was wanted by Schenectady County Family Court.
Police arrested Rogers and charged him with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Rogers was arraigned by City Court Judge John Clo and remanded to the Fulton County Jail with no bail.
Adams was released to the custody of Schenectady County Sheriff's authorities on charges from the outstanding warrant.
The driver of the vehicle when the vehicle was stopped was not charged.
