Mr. Glen William Raym, 86, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Born on May 14, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank and Emma Hawkinson Raym.
A lifelong resident of the town of Glen, Glen graduated from Fultonville High School in 1944. On January 18, 1946, he married his high school sweetheart, Jean M. Hogan. Together they owned and operated Nugget Hill Farm in the town of Glen. He enjoyed working on the farm and was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan M. Raym; his three daughters, Mary Lang and her husband, Edward of Jacksonville, Fla., Kathy Fonda of Amsterdam and Ruth Raym of Glenville; his sister, Dolores Marks of Iowa; a sister-in-law, Melva Raym of Canajoharie; six grandchildren, James, Wendy, Mark, Keith, Madison and Zachary; and six great-grandchildren, Kaytlin, Tyler, Mitchel, Josua, Alyssa and Ryleigh; nieces and nephews.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment of his remains will take place in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. Those wishing to remember Glen, are asked to donate in his name to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
