Anthony J. Dallesandro, 31, years old, formerly of Broadalbin, was called to join his parents in eternal rest Wednesday at St. Peter's Hospital, with his family and friends lovingly at his side. He was born July 30, 1980, in Amsterdam, a son of James and Barbara Pelotte Dallesandro, was a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth Central School and attended several years of college. Anthony had resided in the Albany area since 2004 and was most recently employed as a sales manager in the automotive industry. He had attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, both in Amsterdam. Anthony was an avid sports fan, loved the New York Yankees and collected baseball memorabilia as well as comic books.
He is survived by his fiancee, Daphney Flood; his sister, Kristen (Gino) Marotta; his brother, Glenn Marek; lifelong friends, Jason Collins and Robert Schlict; Daphney's son, Ryan; nieces, Bryanna and Victoria; nephews, Justin, Noah, Tucker and Owen; aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Anthony's greatest legacy will be the great friendships he shared with so many. He will be especially remembered for his infectious smile, kind spirit and zest for life. He will forever be cherished by all.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, Amsterdam. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematorium.
