Johnstown all-stars defeat Scotia, 7-6

BURNT HILLS - The Johnstown 12-year-old Little League All-Stars opened district play Wednesday night with a 7-6 extra-inning over Scotia.

Tyler Bump drove in the winning run in the seventh inning with an RBI single.

Mike Brown and Ben Wager combined to pitch seven solid innings in the win. Wager hit a solo home run in the fifth to tie the game. Corey Maye contributed two singles for Johnstown, while Dan Jarabek, Brandon Mraz and Trevor Porter each had singles.

Johnstown will be back in action Saturday at 8:15 p.m. against Northside at Indian Meadows Park in Burnt Hills.
