Alice Jean Van Kleeck died unexpectedly six days before her 90th birthday.
She was born in Broadalbin, a daughter of Charles H. and Alice Brown Deuel and lived there for eighty years. Alice lived in Georgia and North Carolina for the past ten years to be cared for by her daughter.
Survivors include her three children, Cynthia Carter of Beaufort, N.C., Courtney (Lynda) Van Kleeck of Colchester, Vt., and Christopher (Kathy) Van Kleeck of Milford, Ohio; a brother, Roger (Doris) Deuel of Broadalbin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at Union Mills Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. David Deuel officiating. A time of fellowship will follow at the Perthshire.
Local arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home Inc., 111 County Highway 106, Johnstown.
