COLCHESTER - Recent Saint Michael's College graduate Kevin Hunt, a Johnstown graduate, will return to the men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach next year.
He recently was named the offensive coordinator at St. Michael's. Hunt was a captain at St. Michael's in both his junior and senior years. Hunt will also be pursuing his master's in education degree at St. Michael's and working as a paraprofessional at Williston Central School, Vt.
Hunt also recently was named one of 96 student-athletes across nine sports selected for a Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference honor for the spring athletic season.

Hunt earned the accolade for the second straight year and has qualified for the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll six times. This marks the third straight year at least one Purple Knight has landed NE-10 Academic All-Conference honors.
Hunt started all 16 games on the Purple Knight attack, tallying career highs of 17 goals and 17 assists. In 58 career appearances, he totaled 85 points. Hunt will return to the program as an assistant coach next school year.
The NE-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR). To be eligible for selection to the academic all-conference teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average; and 3) completed at least one academic year at their current institution.
Hunt is a 2008 graduate of Johnstown High School who holds four records for the Sir Bills. He continues to give back to his community, volunteering his time whenever possible to lead clinics and help to grow the sport in Johnstown.
Hunt also will continue to suit up for the Vermont Voyageurs (box lacrosse) this summer as his schedule allows.
