Man pleads guilty in burglary case

June 25, 2012
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - A Bronx man involved in a December 2010 home invasion in the city pleaded guilty Thursday in Fulton County Court to second-degree attempted burglary.

Wilson Y. Jaquez-Villa, 31, of 596 Courtland Ave., pleaded guilty before Judge Polly A. Hoye.

Sentencing was adjourned until Sept. 14, but he is expected to receive three years in state prison as part of a plea arrangement.

Johnstown police arrested Jaquez-Villa in October in the Bronx for his role in a Dec. 27, 2010, home invasion at a home at 81 Chesnut St.

Police said he and two other men forced their way into the home.

Police said a struggle ensued and a male homeowner fired pellets at Jaquez-Villa inside the house and hit him before the suspects fled.
