GARY, Ind. - The third-seeded Albany Legends took their first step towards an Independent Basketball Association championship Friday.
The Legends knockedoff the sixth-seeded Lansing Capitals, 135-105. Albany, now 11-5 on the season, stamps their ticket to today's semifinals with the victory.
Gloversville graduate E.J. Gallup finished with 16 points for Albany, while Lloyd Johnson led all scorers with 33 points for the Legends.
Terrence Shaw led Lansing (8-8 overall) with 33 points.
Albany will play in the semifinals today at the Genesis Convention Center in Gary, Ind. Tip-off time is scheduled for 10 p.m.
