CAROGA LAKE - On a hot, humid night, a field of 135 riders took part in Monster Energy Supercross competition Wednesday at Royal Mountain Ski Area.
Amsterdam's Geoffrey Hoyt picked up the win in the mini quad 51-90cc production class, while Mayfield's Jordan Miller won the mini quad 50cc production class.
Broadalbin's Fred Hansen won the quad amateur class, while Fonda's Tyler Blowers won the mini 80 9- to 11-year-old class.

Blowers also was fourth in the 65cc 7- to 11-year-old class.
Unadilla's Connor Sawyer picked up two class wins Wednesday, claiming victories in the junior mini 9- to 11-year-old and 65cc 7- to 11-year-old classes.
Justin Akin of Schaghticoke also doubled up, winning the open mini 10- to 16-year-old and mini 80 12- to 15-year-old classes.

Other winners included Clifton Park's Gavin Betts (50cc junior stock 4-6), Edmeston's Tyrick Wheeler (50cc senior stock 7-8), Ballston Spa's Mike Bracht (plus-30 expert), Guilford's Shawn Macumber (plus-30 amateur), Schodack's Chris Hoffarth (quad expert), Scotia's Eric Junquera (quad novice), Queensbury's Tyler Jarvis (quad schoolboy 12-15 modified), Whitesboro's Mitch Daugherty (122-open expert), Ravena's Kevin Scarcella (122-open amateur), Saratoga Springs' Scott Nadeau (122-open novice), Glens Falls' Troy Bapp Jr (122-250cc expert), Moriah's Dustin Tesar (122-250cc amateur) and Ballston Spa's Derek Bracht (122-250cc novice).
Several area riders posted top-five finishes Wednesday.
In the 50cc senior stock 7-and-8-year-old class, Gloversville's Ronnie Christman was second and Gloversville's Brandon Hoyt was fifth.
Johnstown's Jason Morrison Jr. was third in the mini quad 51-90cc production class, while Amsterdam's Katharine Hoyt was third in the quad schoolboy 12- to 15-year-old modified class.
In the quad novice class, local riders claimed three of the top-five spots. Broadalbin's Andrew Hughes was second, Gloversville's E.J. McAuliffe was third and Broadalbin's Colby Watras was fifth.
Johnstown's Brandon Handy posted second-place finishes in the 65cc 7- to 11-year-old and junior mini 9- to 11-year-old classes.
Gloversville's Adam Handy was fourth in the 122-open expert class and second in the 122-250cc expert class.
Salisbury Center's Noah Handy was fourth in the open mini 10- to 16-year-old class, while Johnstown's Adryan Pelosi was third in the 122-open amateur class.
Fonda's Jeffrey Fryc was third in the 122-open novice class, Amsterdam's Kaitlyn Phillips was fourth in the mini 80 12-to 15-year-old class and Broadalbin's Kevin Swartz was fifth in the 122-250cc novice class.
Royal Mountain will be back in action next Wednesday. Practice will begin at 7 p.m. with racing set to begin at 8 p.m.
