GLOVERSVILLE - The annual amateur ham radio emergency preparedness exercise field day will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday through 1 p.m. Sunday at Myers Park.
The event, a 24-hour simulated emergency, will be sponsored by the Tryon Amateur Radio Club. People interested do not have to be licensed ham radio operators to "get on the air," a news release said.
