Recreation program slated in Perth

PERTH - The Perth Youth Commission will sponsor a summer recreation program in the town park and community center, on County Highway 107.

The program will be open to all youth residents of the town and the Broadalbin-Perth School District.

The program will start Monday and the last day of the program will be Aug. 3. There will not be any program July 4.

The signup schedule is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Town Hall, or anytime after the program starts.

A registration form can be printed out to bring to the signup at the youth commission's website, www.perthyouth.com.

The daily schedule will be from 9 a.m. to noon. The beach days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Arts and crafts and a summer reading program will be offered, among other activities.

An information sheet about special trips is available on the commission's website and at signups. Each participant is required to wear a PYC T-shirt on trip days. The shirts are $8 each and will be available for purchase at signups and during the program.
