Mrs. Marion O. Hill, 83, of Broadalbin, passed away peacefully at her home on June 18, 2012. She was born September 26, 1928, in Wells, N.Y., the daughter of the late David and Ruth Buyce Gallup.
She was raised in Wells and attended local schools.
Marion married Richard A. Hill on May 29, 1969; they shared a union of 42 years until his recent passing on October 15, 2011. She enjoyed being out in her yard, gardening and puttering around. She loved to feed any wild life around the house. She enjoyed the company of her cat, Tommy Baby. Marion also loved to garage sale and hold her own garage sales and antiquing. Marion was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Her loving family includes her daughter, Eileen and Todd King of Broadalbin; grandchildren, Andrea and Todd Green of Broadalbin and Audra and Billi Paro of Glen. She is survived by her siblings, Harold Gallup, Sherrill Gallup, Florence Hopkins, Ralph Gallup, Lucille Down, Margie Brockman and Howard Gallup; along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins that also survive.
She is predeceased by her son, Ronald LaQuay; and siblings, Evelyn Edwards, Donald Gallup, Norman Gallup, Joe Gallup, George Gallup, Gordon Gallup, Roscoe Gallup and Ruth Gallup.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
