James E. Hulsaver Jr., 69, of Gloversville, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, N.Y. with his loving family by his side.
He was born August 18, 1942, in Johnstown, N.Y., the son of the late James E. Hulsaver Sr. and Dorothy E. (Henderson) Hulsaver. James was a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah High School, class of 1960.
Mr. Hulsaver was a United State Navy veteran enlisting on September 20, 1959, and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1962, with the rank of SR (E-1).

For 29 years, until his retirement, James was a correction officer with his last place of employment was in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Survivors include his daughters, Vicky Anderson and husband, Laurence of Johnstown and Tammy Hulsaver and Jennifer Buchannon of Gloversville; three sisters, Barbara Pugliese and husband, Michael of Little Falls, Cheryl Harwood of San Diego, California, Melissa Newton and husband, Jim of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Andrew Dutcher, Adrian Anderson and Sklyar Anderson; one great-grandchild, Rane Dutcher and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Hulsaver; and a sister, Karen Brownell.
In keeping with James' wishes, cremation will take place under the direction of the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY 518-568-7040. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service at Rockwood Cemetery, town of Lassellsville, N.Y. on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Reverend David Johnson, officiating.
