GLOVERSVILLE - The Tri-County Bees 17-and-younger team swept the Clifton Park Gators in a doubleheader Saturday at Husky Field.
The Bees won the first game 6-5 and the second 4-1.
In the first game, Tri-County scored all six of their runs in the fifth inning to rally from a 4-0 deficit. Matt Szurek had two singles and a run scored for the Bees, while Mike Fancher had a double. Justin Putnam and Marcus Mahoney each had a single and a run scored. Tri-County pitchers Chris Rockefeller and Justin Putnam combined to allow just four hits.
In the second game, Kyle Casimiro threw a three-hitter for the Bees. Casimiro struck out three and walked two to earn the complete-game win. Szurek had a single and two runs scored for Tri-County, while Fancher had a single, runs scored and an RBI.
Tri-County (2-1 overall) will host the Adirondack Hawks on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Husky Field.
