Kayla Lynn Lenz, 19, of Johnstown, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at home.
Born July 29, 1992, in Amsterdam, she was a 2011 graduate of Johnstown High School.
Kayla was currently employed with Rite Aid in Johnstown and had been for the past two years.

She was a cheerleader for the Amsterdam Little Giants for several years and for the Johnstown High School Football team. She also participated in track. Kayla will be remembered most for her big blue eyes, her beautiful smile and her ability to write her poetic letters to family and friends.
Survivors include: her mother Yvonne Lenz of Johnstown, one brother Gary Lenz of Johnstown, maternal grandmother Jerda Sievert of Amsterdam, paternal grandparents Helmar and Maryann Lenz of Amsterdam, her Aunt Beverly and cousins John, Joseph and his two daughters, and cousins Amanda and Connie and her two daughters, her Aunt Rosalie, Aunt Jenny and cousins Channing, Chase and Casten, Aunt Wendy and cousin Tara and her daughter Julianna, and cousins Stephanie and Brittany, Uncle Billy, Aunt Jen and cousins Billy and Matthew, cousin Charles and his two daughters, cousins Anthony and Nathan, other relatives, many friends, and her beloved dog, Roxy.
She was predeceased by her father Aron Lenz, her grandfather William T. Sievert, and her Aunt Joanne.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher St., Johnstown.
Friends and family may call on Monday prior to the service from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the Humane Society.
