On behalf of our membership at Morris J. Edwards American Legion Post 168, I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful show of support this past Memorial Day. Our parade saw an outstanding turnout of veterans and how grateful and richly blessed we are to still have so many representatives of St. Johnsville's Greatest Generation.
I would particularly like to thank the following individuals who worked so hard to make our parade and attendant service so meaningful: Tim Rice, Alan (Charlie) Weaver, Don Schoff Jr., Dan Matis, Dick Pedro and Dawn Lamphere.
How we honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice does, in no small part, define us as a civilization. The large crowd that gathered at Soldiers and Sailors Park reflected the profound pride and respect this community has for those who have worn the uniform and have followed the flag across the generations.
